Elon Musk’s new tweet confuses SHIB and DOGE holders

Tesla boss Elon Musk has the communities of two major crypto memes – DOGE and SHIB – wondering what the eccentric billionaire has to say.

While often tweeting about crypto-related memes (especially DOGE or Bitcoin), this time Musk just posted the word “top” with an up arrow symbol.

Many community members in favor of different currencies immediately asked for clarification. The most active SHIB and DOGE fans to date, wondering if Musk is hinting that DOGE/SHIB will go to the moon?

Earlier this week, Musk announced on Twitter that Tesla is finally accepting payments in DOGE. So far, Tesla’s store offers four items, including a “Cyberwhistle limited edition whistle model” inspired by the cybertruck electric truck and a “cyberquad for kids.” The Cyberquad is priced at 12,020 DOGE, indicating that Tesla has essentially started selling its electric vehicles with DOGE.

Billy Markus, co-founder of Dogecoin, has tweet:

“The best part about Tesla: Accepting DOGE to pay for items priced in meme coins, not USD. One of the biggest companies on earth that accepts DOGE directly as a currency to buy goods.”

Many in the DOGE community hope the company will sell electric cars paid for with meme tokens in the next step.

After yesterday’s 20% spike, DOGE price dropped from $0.199 to as low as $0.1827. Currently, the top meme cryptocurrency has recovered back to $0.1902.
